The circumstances surrounding LNG have changed dramatically in recent years, in both producing countries and consuming countries. For example, the shale gas revolution will certainly have significant effects due to the boost in gas production. Also, in gas consuming countries, policy change is occurring that impacts on LNG procurement, including diversifying its resources.
APERC, in collaboration with METI (The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry), holds an annual conference for the governments of LNG consuming and producing countries and related business operators. The conference seeks to contribute to enhancement of the LNG demand and supply structure by sharing long-term LNG demand and supply outlooks and improving the transparency of markets in the natural gas sector.
